with free downloadable affirmations to print and use for you birth

Anchoring Your Heart in Truth as You Bring Life into the World

Welcoming a baby into the world is one of the most beautiful and transformative experiences a woman can walk through. As a Christian birth doula and mama myself, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is when women enter labor not only informed and supported—but spiritually grounded and emotionally confident.

One of the most impactful tools I encourage my clients to use is birth affirmations—and even more specifically, faith-based affirmations rooted in the Word of God.

Whether you’re preparing for a natural homebirth, a VBAC, or a hospital delivery, these affirmations can help align your heart and mind with truth, peace, and purpose.

Why Birth Affirmations Matter (Especially for Christian Women)

Labor is not just a physical event—it’s deeply emotional, mental, and spiritual. The enemy often tries to plant seeds of fear, doubt, or shame in moments when we’re most vulnerable. But as daughters of the Most High, we are not alone in birth. We are partnering with the Lord in bringing forth life.

Repeating affirmations helps renew your mind and calm your nervous system, but for us as believers, they do even more—they remind us who we are and whose we are.

How to Use Christian Birth Affirmations

  • Speak them aloud daily during your third trimester.

  • Write them on index cards to hang around your home, bathroom mirror, or labor space.

  • Record yourself reading them with Scripture, and listen as you fall asleep.

  • Have your partner or doula read them to you during early and active labor.

  • Use them in prayer or worship time as you prepare your heart for labor.

Laboring in Truth and Power

As Christian women, we don’t walk into labor relying on strength alone. We walk into birth knowing our Creator designed every muscle, every breath, every surge. We birth in partnership with a God who is for us, who strengthens us, and who rejoices with us as new life enters the world.

Whether you're preparing for your first birth or your fourth, I encourage you to spend time in prayer over these affirmations. Make them your own. Let them settle deep into your spirit. And know that you are not alone.
